When I was invited to help judge this category I envisaged that there would be loads of bands/musicians all citing The Residents as their personal musical benchmarks. This is the only track on show that did actually bring them to mind. This is the sort of "jazz" that The Lounge Lizards might have made in the right (wrong?) mood. I liked the music, but felt it was let down by both the vocals and lyrics. Very enjoyable, though.

For me, singing in that style (as you obviously "can" sing "properly", given your profession) was a poor judgement. But I get the sense that you are music man first and foremost, and that lyrics are an afterthought. So maybe you should get someone else involved in that capacity. (By the way, it's *quite* possible I may have simply missed the intended humour behind your lyrics and vocals... sorry if I just didn't get it!)
