LIKE THESE KIDS AND I LIKE THIS MUSIC!

In the US, every town, every high school, must have a group of early rock musician proteges to give everyone else a good time and to inspire the rest -- this group must be that group in their town in New York. I went several times to their myspace and had a great time listening and looking at what they have going on.

I like the spirit, the drive, the energy. I like the guy singing and shouting full of enthusiasm for life, despite the difficulties of life in the US now.

Sure, the Ramones, also from NY, sang 25 years ago (that is a quarter century ago, before this band was even born) about their angst. These guys in Collision Theory / Elwood -- it is their turn now. I like to see young people making their statements constructively with guitars and drums, and not with guns or self-destructive behaviors. The songs are about the same things most young adults are thinking.

I love the strong guitars with great interplay between rhythm and lead, the excellent interplay of the singing parts, the lively drums, the energy of the whole thing. This speaks to today. And they could not be cuter -- in a real way.

ROCK ON DUDES!! And may all your fans, family, friends, and community support you and join you in having fun and making your musical dreams come true !

This song and structure is pretty straightforward and o.k but the mix is all wrong and the vocals are sometimes out of tune. The ideas are there, but it's a sound in development that would benefit from a better production and a better recording in a decent studio.

Keep practicing, its early days, and be decisive about where to take your style.

I didn't like this song, I thought it was weak and unoriginal, this genre is now old hat. This is Blink 182 and it’s all been done before.

Find another outlet for your musical talents – this musical style has been done to death!

This song was well put together but not that original. The Vocals are good but could be developed more in places and watch the tuning! Generally the whole band could be a bit tighter and have a little more balance of textures to the guitars. Try experimenting more!

A pretty straightforward punky pop song. Very good hook line but not much else.

The vocals are quite horrible and there is no attempt to develop an individual style. Heard it all before too many times I’m afraid.

The Ramones did it much better too long ago. Plenty of energy & enthusiasm but not much else apart from attitude. Attitude isn’t nearly enough by itself – you need to be really good too!

Some interesting ideas which do come across well but lack the panache required vocally. The composed vocal line is lacking in ‘tune’. Despite the power and energy this band has, I did not really come away humming much. There is a strong tune in there, but closer production would have aided its delivery.

Tuning and timing are imperative with pop music and with listener expectation that a lot of autotune tinkering has gone on, it is important that tuning is bang on. Using more vocal harmonies would help progress this track into the genre it appears to be following.

Whilst this track attempts to fit in the genre and the production is getting there, it lacks the compositional maturity yet, but do not let that deter. The band have got close and should work on the track more to make it catchier. For example the guitars and vocals are out of tune to the song at times. This production value is imperative to any production and especially pop.

Production note: Too much compression across the mix (especially when going to an compressed format such as MP3) is often not good for the mix. More work required to get to pro standard, but certainly the band are definitely getting there.

It is a difficult genre to imitate and pull off and you should be praised for getting this close. Keep Trying!
