As a piece of mood music it works nicely. The underlying progressions and rhythmic textures are interesting and evocative. The breakdown at 2'09 is welcome and could have come earlier. ie it's has one dimension and could benefit from greater variety and dynamic tension. The cello line is sometimes nice but in other places feels like it hasn't been given enough rigorous thought. It's v linear and could benefit from a great sense of melody and form. Overall, it's interesting but feels like it could be more adventurous in terms of light and shade and accompaniment; and more rigorous in terms of attention to a melodic line.

Programming-wise, I think it's good. A nice sound world. The cello playing is also strong but sometimes one dimensional. Don't be afraid of leaving more space. Sometimes, the timing could be more crisp (and will lead to greater power).

Overall, it's been nicely recorded. As before, it's a strong, if safe, soundworld. Have you considered using more contemporary textures? The cello is recorded nicely and the overall mix is fine. It could enjoy more power from greater dynamic tension and greater discipline in the mix (why not strip it right back before building again).

I think it's interesting and enjoyable listen. I'm not sure how i'd feel about an album of this material. It's difficult to know what else this might consist of besides the sound-world we already hear. Be bold, adventurous, rigorous and self-disciplined in your writing, editing and use of sounds.

the string arrangement at the top is very nice. there's a whiff of istanbul about the cello melody which i like.

Good but some of the sampled parts sound fake, and some of the synth sounds need to be more sonically original

obviously a very good cello player and it dominates the track

the backing (apart from the kick drum!) is not in the same league as the soloist.. but the cello is well recorded

maybe if there were a few more midrange sounds and chordal progressions this would really stand out.
