Bio : Jessicas Ghost

Jessicas Ghost are one of the hottest new bands coming out of Liverpool at the moment. Martin, Moxy, Em, Seb and Sarah have been jamming and gigging since June 2006 releasing their debut EP "Return to the Start" shortly after forming. The band have worked hard and gigged all over the North West to form a following of loyal fans before releasing their debut single in 2007. "Breakdown" was an instant hit with their fans and prompted the band to return to the studio to work on their album. The band have recently recorded "The Winning Hand" with the help of producer Richard JL Smith and the newest addition to the band, Christoph. The album was released on 25th April and is now available from the band web site www.jessicasghsot.co.uk in real CD form or can be downloaded from iTunes, Amazon, Rhapsody and other popular download sites.

Jessicas Ghost are a band that cause a lot of debate - are they folk, are they pop are they indie or a combination of all three?? They don't fit in a pigeon hole but they do have a very distinct "Jessicas Ghost" sound. Top this off with superb musicianship and excellent song writing this band really are one to look out for. Their unique sound is helped greatly by the array of instruments the band play between them and their ability to swap and change. Their live set features Guitar, Violin, Cello, Mandolin, Keyboards, Double Bass, Drums, Percussion, Harmonica, accordion and excellent vocal harmonies. There versatility makes for an excellent live performance full of variety and this theme continues on their debut album.

2009 is proving to be an exciting year for the band as they spread their wings and their music further afield. As well as releasing their debut album, the band are flying out to Poland in June to play their first international festival. They also hope to be confirming appearances at several UK festivals later this year to add to their already impressive gig line up.
