Jon is a singer song writer/acoustic guitarist who lives in the Kent countryside UK with his young family. He is regularly giging around Kent and London, has released is debut album 'Into The Wildness' in 2006 and has just release his second album 'Country Roads'. Jon writes about life and personal thoughts and experiences.
Jon records all his music himself in his garden studio/shed with an Tascam 8 track and a Rode K2 mic. The first album 'Into The Wildness' was recording using only a Tascam pocket 5 with the built in mic. There is no sound proofing in the studio but he lives in the middle of nowhere anyway, so apart from the birds and the odd tractor it's quiet most of the time. Jon says "The natural sound effects from the country side have now just become part of it, occasionaly they even get ther own track'.
Jon is currently waiting for his new guitar to be built and he is busy writing his third album 'Blind House Lane'.
"Many of my songs focus on those life changing moments. None more so than 'So Right' which is a very simple song that, in the first verse, shows how sweet and carefree a child's life can, and should, be. The second verse shows how quickly things change and affect us for ever. This song is me. It's my memory of growing up in the countryside in Kent. I did shoot the bird and I really do believe it shaped me."
