How to register
- Click the REGISTER link in the left hand column
- Tick the button to indicate if you are an Artist or People (voting person), then fill in the username that you would like and click the 'PROCEED TO NEXT STEP' button
- If the username you'd like is available, then you can proceed by following the link on that page. - if it's not then you can select another username to try (by clicking back button and re-entering a new username)
- Once you have found and confirmed the best available username for you, you will be given a form to fill in a few basic details about yourself and the types of music you like... then click the REGISTER button at the bottom of that page. It's that easy!
- NEXT - CHECK YOUR EMAIL FOR YOUR PASSWORD and a welcome message sent from info@thepeoplesmusicawards.com (the first message from us may appear in your SPAM folder, depending on your email settings... If that happens, please make sure you add us to your contacts in your email application so that our messages get through to you!)
- Your done! Your account is up and ready. Now you can get your password, login, vote and enjoy!
How to vote
- All votes are cast via the music player. To vote simply launch the music player from the "vote for this song" link on any artist's profile page, listen and vote, easy! You can also access the music player from the music link on the left hand menu bar on all pages of the website.
Remember:
- For your votes to count you must vote for at least 3 bands but you can cast votes for up to 10 bands. (this is to help new bands get discovered, and so that user votes reflect quality results, rather than only reflecting only the artists with the largest email list of fans.
- You can view and manage the votes you have cast in the music player (when you or logged in)
Site slow or hard to use?
We are constantly striving to improve the functionality of this site for our users. Recently we have been improving the site for PC users with "Windows XP" and internet explorer. Most users report that the site performs best in Firefox (a FREE browser that can be downloaded from www.mozilla.com/firefox). If you have and difficulty using this site please e-mail: info@thepeoplesmusicawards.com
What does it mean to become a 'fan' of an artist?
When a TPMA member becomes a fan of an artist, they allow us to let that artist to do special things for their fans - to keep them updated about things relevant to that artist. This is useful for fans to stay informed about that artist's upcoming events, tours, merchandise and music
Fans email addresses are not shared directly with artists, so that fans can be sure that they will not be added to any spam lists. At TPMA, fans have total control and can unsubscribe from an artist's newsletter simply by removing that artist from their "fans" list. The option to do this is available after you log in.
